I call myself the caretaker of Hacienda Makaria. God owns it; I just get the distinct honor of using it for His glory!

I fell in love with the Hacienda at first sight, even though at the time it had been neglected and vandalized. My heart longed to restore it to its former glory! Each day has been a wonderful, fulfilling challenge.

Makaria is a Greek word meaning "supremely blessed or overflowing with joy". It historically was also a place where people traveled to seek rest, renewal, and restoration. That is exactly what I hope for all who enter through our gates, and why we chose to name this beautiful place “Hacienda Makaria”.
